increasing retention and success of all our students
increasing the percentages of our undergraduates, of all backgrounds, continuing to graduate studies (see goals associated with Objective 1)
increasing the recruitment of a diverse graduate-student population and promoting their success (see actions associated with Objective 1)
continuing to recruit and develop a diverse faculty (see Objective 6)
• Strengthen existing partnerships and create new ones with both historically minority and women's colleges and universities
• Support the implementation of programs and policies that improve the ability to balance work, study, and family. These include -
providing high-quality on-campus child-care
improving the absolute and perceived level of campus safety.
• Increase the diversity on the School External Advisory Board
• Utilize campus resources (e.g., CEISMIC) to coordinate and leverage our outreach programs to local K-12 schools for exposure of the discipline
• All students entering the School graduate with their desired degree.
• Be a recognized leader in educating women and minority graduates in Chemical Engineering at all degree levels
